2 months from today...we will be Mr. and Mrs. Agee!!

Down to the wire huh?! Things are really coming together too and I'm having fun doing it now! We finally got the timeline of events for that night so we were able to get the DJ all squared away with everything she will need. It is very weird to put things on paper though. As in, how we want to be announced, types of music, the first dance, father/daughter dance...things like that. I can actually imagine things happening which is really nice. I think my excitement has intensified more now than before though. We also added more to our registry. I do have to say, doing that online is much easier than doing it at the store. Marcus and I enjoyed scanning everything but it is a lot more organized on-line. I recommend doing both! :)
A week from today is my bridal shower! So exciting!! I can't wait to see everyone! It should be a good time. I wanted everything in polka-dots and I think Heidi made sure that happened!! We are wearing polka-dot dresses to go with the theme as well...we will be adorable! :) Marcus will be going with "the guys" to a baseball game that day so they will be out of the way for the whole day! It will be nice to have a girls day!!
So the checklists are going down...but still a lot to do. I am feeling really good about everything though so no more stress. :) Now is the time for fun!!!

72 days and counting!

Wow...I can't believe we are getting so close! I can remember last year saying "Oh man...10 months until the wedding!" I didn't think it would go so fast! Everyone always said "It will be here before you know it..." and I never believed them!! Now I wish I had more time!! ha ha We don't have too much to do but there is still that little stuff that you don't think of until the last minute!

I had my first fitting the other day and it went very well! Not too much to alter so that is nice. My mother and Mrs. Weishoff came with me. It was good to have the extra eyes with us and we love her company as well!! I have about 4 more appointments with her and then I get my "baby" back. It was a bit hard to let her go!! I couldn't stop thinking of what would happen if there was a flood in her basement or a fire...or paint splashes all over it. I was a bit insane leaving! I hope I kept it in well though!

So the next step is getting those invites out. I think putting everything in that envelope will be the most time consuming!! Anybody want to help?! I could always use a dozen more hands!! My shower is coming up this month too! I am very excited. It will be nice to relax for a day from the planning!

Oh...my friend from Indiana just had a baby so if you know Stefanie Oswalt, make sure you tell her congrats. She had a beautiful baby boy...William Sawyer Oswalt. He was 7lbs and 9oz. The baby and Stefanie are doing very well.

Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day to all!! Tonight Marcus and I are going to his parents house to have a BBQ. Steaks, potatoes, corn on the cob, good company, and some relaxation!! My parents are in Boston again so I guess we will have a second Father's day later this week. Fine with me! I love a good BBQ night!

This past week has been crazy! We have been working a lot and haven't gotten a lot done with the wedding but the end of the month will be busy with wedding things. Next week I am going with Marcus' mom to get some things from the fabric store and also to get the rehearsal dinner planned and ready. The week after I have my first dress fitting. Between now and then, I will need to get the "under garments" and shoes that I will be wearing so I will have exact measurements and alterations for the wedding. After that, starts July!! I have my Bridal Shower that month...I am soooo excited. Heidi is doing a fantastic job with the planning of this. I am so very happy I have her in my life. She is amazing! We also have to get the invitations ready to be mailed. That will be a job in itself! We still have a lot to do but the wedding will be here before we know it! Then what will I blog about?!

WOW...long time no post!!

Sorry guys! We have been pretty busy lately so I haven't had much time to "blog" about us!! So here goes!

Marcus and I have went to a couple of cake tastings. Marcus had a blast and so did I! We are deciding to go with Lily Lane Cakes. She is amazing! If you have seen "Ace of Cakes", then you will know what type of cake decorator she is. We found out about her through a resident at my work who went with her and loved her!! So after our cake tasting we had our engagement photos done. It was a lot of fun!! We ended up going to Occoquan and we're able to have some pictures by a beautiful Cherry Blossom tree. Here are a couple...

About a week or so after the pictures we had our tasting at the Marriott! OH MAN!! That was the best part of all the wedding planning! They had the room all nice for us with tables set up and the food was amazing! We tried 2 salads, steak with salmon, chicken, and 2 desserts! :) Mom and Dad went with us as well...they loved it too!! We ended up picking the food that night but I will not ruin that surprise!! Just know it will be so good!! (so good, so good)

After that we took about a month off...I needed a break from everything!! We did the little things like get the invites, more shower planning, get appointments for dress fittings and so on. We did get to go to Indiana for our friend Jami and Rick's wedding. It was a lot of fun. It was good to see everyone too!! I will have the pictures up from that soon.

So a little over 80 days left until the wedding...

Cherry Blossom Festival

It's that time of year again. The Cherry Blossom Festival is going to be up and running starting March 28-April 12. Marcus and I went there last year and had the best time. Everyone is just so happy and there are kites flying everywhere...it is busy but it is totally worth it. Taking the metro is always an option but it is very packed. I would recommend this to everyone!! Marcus and I will be getting our engagement photos done there in April. Here are some pictures that I took last year...

It is an amazing time and I do suggest anyone and everyone come to check it out. It is definetly worth it. Even if you can't make the festival, come to see them in bloom. They are beautiful!

...Honeymoon...

So good news...Marcus and I are going to Orlando, Florida for our honeymoon!! We are so excited! It is not a "Disney" trip but we will be visiting Mickey and Minnie for a couple of days. We will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Villa. It is amazing! There are animals right in the backyard...yes Giraffes will be there too! (!) It is more of a condo feel rather than the hotel which is so great! Dad really found the perfect spot for us. Below is a picture of what the A.K.V. look like. Amazing huh?!

We will be going to Universal, the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Sea World, Ripley's Believe it or Not, the Blue Man Group and so much more. We will be busy!

Need an update!

So much has been going on.

Heidi came a couple of weeks ago. We had a very good time. We went dress shopping which was a lot of fun! She tried on a lot of dresses and was a great sport. She tried on everything!! She looked good in everyone too!! Alexiea came towards the end of the week and she was a lot of fun too!! (that is not the dress by the way...it reminded me of the statue of liberty! ha)

We got the save-the-dates started while she was here too. She really helped a lot with that. I am not very good at the whole "label" thing and she rocked that out for me. Very...very...very greatful for her help.

It was also Alexieas birthday and Heidi got to meet Marcus' parents and her friends. She also had the pleasure of meeting Christine. We had a very good night. I unfortunetly had to cut the night a bit short but hey, we had a blast. Alexiea had a Marti Gras theme so everyone was wearing purple, yellow (or gold), and green.

I also got to see Heidi's sister Katy who just had a baby. He is so adorable!! He is a very quiet little guy. I love it when he sneezes!!

Well Heidi had to leave...and the week after was Marcus' birthday!! We went to his parents house and had a wonderful dinner. I got him a Packers jersey with his name on the back. He loved it! And then it snowed...

When it comes to other wedding things, we signed with our DJ. We are going with Bialek DJs. When Heidi was here we were able to meet up with one of the DJs and she was great. Her personality is exactly what we are looking for and I really think she will work out just fine. We finalized the save-the-dates and will hopefully be sending them out by next week. (I am very bad at getting motivated.) My dress came in one month early!! I go next Thursday to see it and try it on. I am very excited! Next step is cake!! Marcus cannot wait to try them!!
