So...what's new?!

Wow..already the end of July! Where has the time gone? Let me catch everyone up...

JUNE

Summer had started. The heat wave has been insane! I cannot believe how hot it has been. We had a HORRIBLE winter and I'm pretty sure everyone was wishing for summer. BAD IDEA! It is too hot now. I think the max we have had has been 105! If you know me well, you know that I am NOT enjoying it!

We celebrated our "3 year" anniversary of being together. We went to Carrabbas like we usually do. It was where we went for our very first date so we think it is appropriate. I'm not sure if you have ever sat at the food bar but I definitely think it is a must! If you sit over by the pasta area, you get a free sample of something. And the rest of the night, you get to see the cooks in action. I don't think Marcus and I talked once! He was loving it! I think that is our new seat when we go there. The food is always good..

JULY

This has been a crazy month!

July 4th was a crazy day. My work had a 4th of July "party". It was a great time. There were vendors (food, flowers, clothes, shaved ice, etc) up and down the main strip of our property, kid games across the street, a band was playing. A lot of work was put into it so we were very pleased about how well it came together. There is a field in the back of our property where everyone sat to watch the fireworks. Once it got dark (around 9:15ish) one set of fireworks started going off. Everyone thought they were for us but in fact, they weren't. So once those started, we were all running around making sure everyone knew what was going on. It was crazy! Once our fireworks started, things calmed down....until they STOPPED! They were supposed to be at least 20 minutes and this was only about 10! We couldn't believe it! Everyone started leaving and we got so nervous because we wanted to make sure everyone enjoyed it so we could do this next year. So after about 10 more minutes, they started up again! It was crazy! It ended great and come to find out, there was a small fire over where the fireworks were going off so they had to put that out before they started another set. But all in all, it was a great time!

The next weekend was very low key. I didn't want to do a lot because it took a couple of weeks just to get over the 13 hour day from the 4th. The weekend after was a really fun weekend. Naomi and Sean got married! It was a great time. She looked so beautiful! I didn't bring my camera so I don't have any pictures but it was a very beautiful ceremony and a great party after.

The next couple of months are going to be just as crazy for the Agee's. We are going to Boston in September. We are very excited about that! It will be a lot of fun to show Marcus where I "started". The month after we are finally moving into the condo! I CANNOT wait for that! If anyone wants to help move, we will take it! :)

Miami

Here are some pictures from Miami. We had a great time and cannot wait to go back!

We ate lunch at a side walk restaurant. Thats when we noticed that Marcus and Dad have the same hat! ha

I love this picture of mom. She looks so happy! This was at South Beach. It was very nice there.

How precious are they?!

This was Marcus and I on our "date night". We were completely burnt but we had a great night.

Here we are on a random side beach looking out to the city of Miami. Thanks so much mom and dad for letting us come!

Chase was bummed we were leaving! We miss him!!

Oh and Nooget is doing great!!

SKYPE!

Oh wow...so I might be a little out of the loop but I just joined Skype last night. I got so excited so I called Mom. I told her the steps to download it for herself. She of course is WAY out of the loop and had no idea what was going on. So finally after 20 minutes of her computer loading and downloading, she got it. There I was like I was in the next room. We talked for like 20-30 minutes. We had so much fun. She showed me her new apartment, Chase came out to play until I scared him and he went to hide under the chair! haha Well today Marcus and I went over to Rich and Jen's house for dinner. *Thanks again guys!!* I brought our computer and right after dinner we turned Skype on. I called mom and told her to get on right away. Once she got on, I surprised her with Rich and Jen. She was so excited!! We all were too. We showed her R/J's new shed and their garden. After that, we all just talked for about 20 minutes. Once it started to get a bit dark, we had to say goodbye. Mom even had a small tear! It was sweet! It stinks to be so far apart but be able to still see each other is amazing. Granted, mom doesn't really understand where the camera is so we see a lot of the ceiling and her eyes but that's fine with us!

Marcus and I are "leaving on a jet plane" in a couple of weeks to see mom and dad in Miami. We are VERY excited! Mom has a lot of plans for us already. I don't know how we are going to get it all done in the short amount of time we are there! But it will still be great to just sit on the couch with them.

On another great note, Marcus and I have a place to live when our lease is up!! A friend of mine's mother has a condo that she is renting and she is renting it to us!! It is a 2 bedroom, 2 full bath loft with a den. It is perfect for us. We probably won't even have enough furniture yet!! We are excited though. November (YES...I HAVE TO WAIT TILL NOVEMBER!) cannot come soon enough!!

Other than that, nothing is really too new with us. Happy Monday to all and if you have Skype, find me!! :)

Winter Storm 2010

Well I take back every time I have said "I WANT IT TO SNOW MOMMY" as a kid! We got over 25 inches of snow in the last couple of days. This is the first time in a long time I saw blue skies and the sun during the day. I am SNOW over it! Ha, I'm so cleaver!!

Enjoy the pictures!!

Oh, and Nooget is doing great!

Times are a changin'

2010 is all about change for the Leopold/Agee family.

Rich and Julie (Mom and Dad) have moved to Miami, Florida. Dad's found a great job there so mom moved down there the beginning of February. Their move was very dramatic too!! They were originally supposed to leave on a Saturday. Dad was flying down to pick up mom and they would drive down together. Well, it decided to snow! So they thought they could leave on Sunday. Well then they find out that the movers would not be leaving until Monday. Then...their heat went out and the HVAC guys couldn't come out until Monday. And to top it all off, mom was trying to help Rich Jr. get the trash out and she cut her finger with a piece of glass!!

Lets start at the beginning!!

On Friday, we decided to go to "our" pizza place for dinner. Earlier that day, mom cut her finger. It was bleeding pretty bad but she said that it will be fine..don't worry about it...blah blah blah. So we went to dinner and kind of forgot about it. Well when the check came, Jen told mom, we WILL be going to the Urgent care. No way to get out of it!! So mom, dad, Rich, Jen, Marcus and I all go to this Urgent care! What a site to see!! It was like a parade!! Well mom finally got to go back and I went with her. The nurse came in and took off the band aid that mom had on it and starting looking around. Now let the record show, it was not bleeding at that time. Well the nurse pulled back some of the skin and BAM it started bleeding!! The nurse said that the doctor will have to look at it but she was 99% sure, she needed stitches!! Mom got so nervous! I just started making jokes and trying to keep her mind off of it. Something that I think I'm pretty good at!! ha Well the doctor finally came in...looked at it for a minute and said..."Mrs. Leopold, you need stitches!" Mom was trying her darned-ist to convince the doctor that it isn't that big of a deal.

"Don't worry about the stitches."

"Do you really need to put the needle in to numb it?"

I finally looked at her and said, "mom...I've had stitches 3 times...and every time you said not to worry about it...its okay...it won't hurt." and she responded by saying...."WELL I WASN'T GETTING IT DONE!!" ha Well the doctor finally gave in to her and just put the strips on it. So no needles or anything was needed. We finally left there and headed back to moms.

Saturday was the "snow day". Mom and dad were going to Rich and Jen's for dinner and I didn't want to waste time not seeing them so I decided to go over there around 8 or so. I brought over the game Apples to Apples for all of us to play. It was such a great time. Marcus unfortunately had to work the next morning so he wasn't able to come with me. We ended up playing the game for a couple of hours and just laughed and talked...it was great! We all spent the night too!! It was like a huge slumber party. The best part of it was waking up to the smell of eggs and sausage! Thanks Rich!!

Sunday was another crazy day. The 6 of us all went to the Japanese steakhouse for dinner. Mom brought the camera and was taking pictures every 5 minutes! She was so cute!! Dinner was great. We all laughed and joked around and it was wonderful. We all ended up back at the house. Cathy, mom, and I went to Silverdiner for a last "girls night". That was a great time too. Marcus ended up picking us up and we headed back to moms house to say goodbye. Well to make a long story short (too late), there was not a dry eye in the house!! It was very sad saying goodbye. But I talk to them a lot so its like they are still here!! Marcus and I have already planned a trip for May and cannot wait to go!!

Well of course, the BLIZZARD OF 2010 had to give an appearance. Mom and dad left just in time!! It is a ton of snow!! I think around 30 inches was the final snow. Its so pretty but I wish it would just go away! Being stuck in the house on a weekend is no fun. Enjoy the pics!!

Getting to be that time of the year!!

Nooget loved the tree!! She was staring at us almost the whole time we were putting it up!! We had a good time putting it up too. Marcus' brother Zac came over to hang out and he helped us a lot!!
So here she is in all her glory!! Like it? We put up our stockings too... We got one for Nooget as well...she is a part of our family!! And you never know...Santa might bring something for her too!! :)
My holiday party for work is on Thursday. Marcus and I can't wait. Last year was a blast and we are going to the same place, Sea Catch Restaurant. It is in DC...open bar...open raw bar...buffet...dancing...its a really good time.
T-minus 17 more days until Christmas!! :)

It's A Girl!!

Well...not really a baby but Marcus and I got a Guinea Pig a couple of weeks ago. Her name is Nooget...pronounced....NOO-GET! ha She is great! Marcus and I love having her in the apartment. So here is the story...

We decided that since we are on the 4th floor..in an apartment...we cannot get a dog. Marcus is allergic to cats and I'm pretty sure if we were to get a cat, none of my family would come over to visit!! So we settled on a guinea pig. They are easy to maintain, they don't have to go outside to use the bathroom and they are down - right adorable!! So we went to PetSmart to check out the prices and to see what they had to offer. None of them there really caught our attention. They looked very big and not that fun! So another week goes by (I had kidney stones so we weren't able to get her then!!) and we stopped by Petco. Again, not to buy but to check out what they had. And there she was!! She was so shy...just sitting in the corner. I couldn't take my eyes off of her!! (I know...it sounds CRAZY!) She was so different than any G.P. we've seen...the coloring was different and everything. So we said...LETS DO THIS! We brought her home and I didn't want to leave her alone. I did though...she needed to get used to her new environment.

So now that she is used to us...she is a blast. She makes this face - we call it the "Nooget eye" where she squints her eyes together like she is irritated with us. It is hilarious!! She also likes to run around outside of her cage...it gives her exercise and she makes the best sounds. She does have a cold though...she sneezes a lot and we found out today that she has a viral infection. Poor girl! :(

We love her and she definitely completes the Agee family at this time! Until next time!!

Here she is giving me the "Nooget Eye"

So we had a little photo shoot!! :)

In my sleeve!!!
Nooget and "Dad" at the vet. She was a trooper!!
