It's A Girl!!

Well...not really a baby but Marcus and I got a Guinea Pig a couple of weeks ago. Her name is Nooget...pronounced....NOO-GET! ha She is great! Marcus and I love having her in the apartment. So here is the story...

We decided that since we are on the 4th floor..in an apartment...we cannot get a dog. Marcus is allergic to cats and I'm pretty sure if we were to get a cat, none of my family would come over to visit!! So we settled on a guinea pig. They are easy to maintain, they don't have to go outside to use the bathroom and they are down - right adorable!! So we went to PetSmart to check out the prices and to see what they had to offer. None of them there really caught our attention. They looked very big and not that fun! So another week goes by (I had kidney stones so we weren't able to get her then!!) and we stopped by Petco. Again, not to buy but to check out what they had. And there she was!! She was so shy...just sitting in the corner. I couldn't take my eyes off of her!! (I know...it sounds CRAZY!) She was so different than any G.P. we've seen...the coloring was different and everything. So we said...LETS DO THIS! We brought her home and I didn't want to leave her alone. I did though...she needed to get used to her new environment.

So now that she is used to us...she is a blast. She makes this face - we call it the "Nooget eye" where she squints her eyes together like she is irritated with us. It is hilarious!! She also likes to run around outside of her cage...it gives her exercise and she makes the best sounds. She does have a cold though...she sneezes a lot and we found out today that she has a viral infection. Poor girl! :(

We love her and she definitely completes the Agee family at this time! Until next time!!

Here she is giving me the "Nooget Eye"

So we had a little photo shoot!! :)

Well things are starting to settle down in the Agee household. We are about all done with unpacking everything. There are a couple more boxes that need to be opened and hopefully I will find a place to put them! It is very homey here though. I love just coming home and having that "It's ours" feel.
We finally got our pictures back from Bella Photography. They are great! I cannot wait to print them out and hang them up! They are exactly what I wanted!! We also got our wedding video from my Uncle Mike too. It is great! I cried more watching the video than I did on the wedding day!! ha ha
Well nothing is really new over here...let me know if you are reading this! I'd like to think that more than one person is reading this!!
Thanks everyone!! Until next time!

Moving out!

Well...tomorrow is the big day! We are MOVING OUT! We are very, very, very excited! Our apartment is nothing special but it is OURS and that is the main thing! We have our own place! Don't get me wrong, living in my parents basement is great but...we are living in our parents basement...

So we are getting a 1 bedroom. It is on the 4th floor facing the trees. It is a quiet location too. Marcus used to live there so having visited him there before, I feel very comfortable with it. It has everything we need...nice kitchen, washer and dryer, patio, big living room, nice size bedroom and 2 closets. (Marcus has a lot of clothes!!) It is still in Woodbridge so we will be close to our families as well.

You never really understand how much CRAP you have until you pack it all up. The basement smells and looks like a huge cardboard box right now. It will be like Christmas opening it all up! :) That's my favorite part. I cannot wait to use the gifts from the wedding either! Thanks again to everyone that got us stuff! It will be coming in handy in the very near future!

Sally is coming to town soon. I cannot wait! She comes in the 26th and we are hoping to go see "Uncle Teddy" at the Arlington Cemetery and then on the 27th, we are going to carve pumpkins again. HA Last year was the first time we did it and it was a blast! We all got pumpkins and also the stencils and went to town. Sally didn't realize it but she carved it upside down!! She was trying to carve a bat and we had to make it into a smiley face instead. It was hilarious! Only Sally!! She will be staying with us (our first house guest) for a couple of days and then head over to keep Mom company. It will be a good visit for all parties involved.

Well wish us luck...and until next time!!

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

That's right, Marcus and I went to Disney for our honeymoon. We had an absolute blast!! I was a bit nervous that Marcus would not have the "magical" time that we all know Disney can bring but he did!!

Our room was amazing! It had a living room, full kitchen with all the appliances, bedroom, bath, and a huge patio. I felt like we were in a condo and not the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We were facing the back and I saw a giraffe within the first 5 minutes we were there. It was amazing! It was like they came out just for us! The first day we were there, we just hung out at the hotel and went to the pool. The pool was amazing! We went to Boma for dinner which is a buffet in the hotel that serves African and American food. It was amazing! They gave us a special dessert because we had our "Just Married" pins on. They definitely made us feel very special.

The next day was Disney's Hollywood Studios (or as I know it...MGM). We walked in and Marcus' eyes got very big! We got there just in time to see the High School Musical parade. We then walked over to an animation place and there he was...MICKEY!! I probably looked like a 4 year old! I was jumping up and down telling Marcus that I wanted to take a picture. We went on after that, just riding some rides and having lunch at the 50s Prime Time Cafe. We then have to head over to EPCOT. We had a good time there as well. We played in Innoventions for about an hour and then headed to the different countries. Marcus and I really enjoyed that. We would go in random places just to walk around. We had to waste some time because we had dinner reservations at Germany. Once we made it over there and got into the dinner, we piled our plates! The food was amazing! The Oompah band announced our marriage too! That was very special for us! Everyone raised their glasses and cheered us! Disney really knows how to make people feel special. After dinner was the fireworks! They are so amazing!!

The next day we went to Downtown Disney, DisneyQuest and Circus du Soleil. DisneyQuest is WORTH IT! It is a bit pricey but it was a blast. 5 floors of video games...Marcus was in love! You can go in and out all day too which is very nice. We got tickets to CdS and since we both have never seen anything like that, we did not know exactly what to expect. We were on the edge of our seats the whole show! I could not believe the things they were doing. Hanging up-side-down with no ropes, flipping on bikes...it was all amazing! I would see it 5 times over! We ending up going to Planet Hollywood for dinner and then we walked through Pleasure Island to get home. One of the men noticed that we had our pins on so he took our names and put them on the TVs saying: Just Married Krista and Marcus! There were at least 15-20 TVs in there! We felt like celebrities!!

Next was the Magic Kingdom!! MY FAVORITE! We had a wonderful time in that park...as usual. You really cannot have a bad time when you're in Disney. We did everything in that park. It was a very long day!! We stayed until after the fireworks as well. We did not have the best seats for them though. We sat right in front of the castle not thinking that the castle would be directly IN THE WAY! I was not that happy but we just made a joke out of it.

The rest of the week went by so fast. We ended up going back to MGM to go to a couple of things that we missed on the first day. We also went back to Downtown Disney to get some gifts for our families and then we relaxed! It was a wonderful honeymoon!! I was so excited to get home and see everyone to tell them and show them pictures!

On other news, Marcus and I got an apartment!! We move in October 13th and cannot wait!! I will update with pictures shortly!

Well...until next time!!

"I now pronounce you...husband and wife!"

That's right!! Marcus and I are married!! Wow! It is all over.
Friday night was so much fun. We had our rehearsal first. (I started to cry a bit during that!!) I was just so excited. Then we had our dinner. The food was great and everyone had a good time! We told stories and Marcus and I gave out gifts for our bridal party and family. Then was the party. I think everyone had a good time. We had the DJ there, a bar, a "sweet" bar (candy, cookies, brownies, chips etc.), and a great crowd of people. It was nice to see everyone talking and getting to know each other. What I really liked to see was that my Greenwood friends got along with my Woodbridge friends. I don't think I have ever danced that much in one night. :)

Dancing the night away!! Amy, Heidi, Erin, me, Marcus and Alexiea

Surprisingly I fell asleep and was not anxious!! Just SOOOO tired! I had a "slumber party" with my Aunt Sally and we talked for about an hour and fell right to sleep! Marcus had to leave right at 12:00AM and he went back home and slept at our house with his brother.

The next morning was a lot of fun! Heidi, Jen, Sally and my mom surprised me with breakfast in bed and champagne with orange juice! It was sooooo sweet of them!! Then we went to get our hair done.
Just waking up on my wedding day!!

Finished product.

So then it was time to get ready and get MARRIED!! I was SO CALM! It was unbelievable!! Once we got back to the hotel, I had a couple of my Mary Kay girls come and do my make up. They did such a great job!! Then it was getting my dress on, seeing my dad, and walking downstairs! Right as I was going to leave the room, my phone rang and it was Marcus. So when I answered he was freaking out!! Nobody had told him where he needed to be and when so when he tried to call people, nobody was answering!! So I calmed him down and told him where to go and that I would see him VERY soon!!

Getting my make-up done My dress right before I put her on.

The ceremony was amazing! It was 7 minutes long!! YES...7 MINUTES! That is exactly what we wanted though. We just wanted to get the party started!! I honestly could not tell you much about it though. It is good to see pictures because I was so focused on Marcus that I missed everything else!!

The kiss!!

The reception was GREAT! Everyone eventually danced after we ate and did the speeches. The food was AMAZING and yes, I ate everything! I have heard many times that the bride and groom don't ever finish their food but Marcus and I made sure we did! We were able to go around and talk to everyone as well which was nice. Heidi caught my bouquet and Zac caught the garter. At the end of the night, I wanted the DJ to play "Last Dance" and that would be it but everyone that was on the dance floor started yelling..."ONE MORE SONG...ONE MORE SONG..." and she did!! It was so nice that nobody wanted to leave! I know Marcus and I didn't!

FINALLY.....SEPTEMBER

Ahh...Finally in the "wedding month". This has been such a long time coming but I'm glad it is here! To put it in perspective, Marcus and I are getting married in 11 days...one more weekend...I have 5 more days of work until the wedding...YEAH...THAT CLOSE! I am a lot more calm than I thought I would be at this time. We are just so anxious!

We started the seating chart. Wow...that's a bit crazy! We got poster board (orange to match the wedding of course) and drew circles on them. We took post-it notes and cut them in strips and put every ones name on there. Then we put them in their seats! It was a lot easier that way. I'm more of a visual person anyway. I think we did a good enough job with it. We tried to sit people with other people they get along with and hope to make new friends as well.

The next week and a half will hopefully go by very fast. We won't be doing as much except for getting things together but I pray it will be here before we know it! I am so excited to "walk down that aisle"!!

Well...until next time!!

18 days...

Time is starting to slow down a bit. I think the anticipation of everything has come and time is gradually going by! I cannot wait though! I get my dress back on Thursday and we also have a final meeting with Lily at the Marriott. After that, NOTHING...until my bachelorette party! That is going to be a blast! Jen has been planning the whole thing for me. She is doing a great job too!! We are starting at a Mexican Restaurant (Lauriol Plaza - see below for picture) for some good food and margaritas. After there, we are going to start to walk around DuPont and hit the local bars. I also heard that the Real World will be taping down there so that would be awesome to get on TV. Us girls will have to look our best, just incase!! Marcus has his bachelor party the day before mine. We are both unsure where he is going though! Marcus' friend Ben is planning all of that and Marcus is very excited!

Until next time!
