Winter Storm 2010

Well I take back every time I have said "I WANT IT TO SNOW MOMMY" as a kid! We got over 25 inches of snow in the last couple of days. This is the first time in a long time I saw blue skies and the sun during the day. I am SNOW over it! Ha, I'm so cleaver!!

Enjoy the pictures!!

Times are a changin'

2010 is all about change for the Leopold/Agee family.

Rich and Julie (Mom and Dad) have moved to Miami, Florida. Dad's found a great job there so mom moved down there the beginning of February. Their move was very dramatic too!! They were originally supposed to leave on a Saturday. Dad was flying down to pick up mom and they would drive down together. Well, it decided to snow! So they thought they could leave on Sunday. Well then they find out that the movers would not be leaving until Monday. Then...their heat went out and the HVAC guys couldn't come out until Monday. And to top it all off, mom was trying to help Rich Jr. get the trash out and she cut her finger with a piece of glass!!

Lets start at the beginning!!

On Friday, we decided to go to "our" pizza place for dinner. Earlier that day, mom cut her finger. It was bleeding pretty bad but she said that it will be fine..don't worry about it...blah blah blah. So we went to dinner and kind of forgot about it. Well when the check came, Jen told mom, we WILL be going to the Urgent care. No way to get out of it!! So mom, dad, Rich, Jen, Marcus and I all go to this Urgent care! What a site to see!! It was like a parade!! Well mom finally got to go back and I went with her. The nurse came in and took off the band aid that mom had on it and starting looking around. Now let the record show, it was not bleeding at that time. Well the nurse pulled back some of the skin and BAM it started bleeding!! The nurse said that the doctor will have to look at it but she was 99% sure, she needed stitches!! Mom got so nervous! I just started making jokes and trying to keep her mind off of it. Something that I think I'm pretty good at!! ha Well the doctor finally came in...looked at it for a minute and said..."Mrs. Leopold, you need stitches!" Mom was trying her darned-ist to convince the doctor that it isn't that big of a deal.

"Don't worry about the stitches."

"Do you really need to put the needle in to numb it?"

I finally looked at her and said, "mom...I've had stitches 3 times...and every time you said not to worry about it...its okay...it won't hurt." and she responded by saying...."WELL I WASN'T GETTING IT DONE!!" ha Well the doctor finally gave in to her and just put the strips on it. So no needles or anything was needed. We finally left there and headed back to moms.

Saturday was the "snow day". Mom and dad were going to Rich and Jen's for dinner and I didn't want to waste time not seeing them so I decided to go over there around 8 or so. I brought over the game Apples to Apples for all of us to play. It was such a great time. Marcus unfortunately had to work the next morning so he wasn't able to come with me. We ended up playing the game for a couple of hours and just laughed and talked...it was great! We all spent the night too!! It was like a huge slumber party. The best part of it was waking up to the smell of eggs and sausage! Thanks Rich!!

Sunday was another crazy day. The 6 of us all went to the Japanese steakhouse for dinner. Mom brought the camera and was taking pictures every 5 minutes! She was so cute!! Dinner was great. We all laughed and joked around and it was wonderful. We all ended up back at the house. Cathy, mom, and I went to Silverdiner for a last "girls night". That was a great time too. Marcus ended up picking us up and we headed back to moms house to say goodbye. Well to make a long story short (too late), there was not a dry eye in the house!! It was very sad saying goodbye. But I talk to them a lot so its like they are still here!! Marcus and I have already planned a trip for May and cannot wait to go!!

Well of course, the BLIZZARD OF 2010 had to give an appearance. Mom and dad left just in time!! It is a ton of snow!! I think around 30 inches was the final snow. Its so pretty but I wish it would just go away! Being stuck in the house on a weekend is no fun. Enjoy the pics!!
