We had our first "party" at our condo - Super Bowl themed. The party was a great success!! Mom came the night before so she started cooking then! She made chicken wings, chili, dips, etc. It was a huge spread!! We had a really good turn out as well -just about 15-20 people came. It was a bit tight but I don't think many people minded. The game was great. It was a bit tight but in the end - The Packers won it. Marcus was THRILLED! Great way to end our night.
Mom stayed for about 2 weeks. It was wonderful to have her here. In the 2 weeks she was here Marcus and I quit smoking. Man was that hard!! I am still smoke free (2 weeks and 4 days...but who is counting!!) We went to the Christmas Tree shop, Marshall's, rearranged some furniture, mom bought us a bunch of things for the house, and more! We had a great trip with her and we both did not want her to leave!
So mom left in the middle of the week and Heidi came on Friday! It was so good to see her and Dave. The night they got in we just had a couple of beers and played Apples to Apples. The next day Heidi and I got our toes done and just hang out a bit while the guys went to lunch. That night we went to the Melting Pot which was amazing!! After dinner we went to DC to walk around the monuments. Well...in the midst of everything...DAVE PROPOSED TO HEIDI! It was wonderful!! So romantic and absolutely perfect! I am just so happy for the both of them!
I posted a couple of pictures of the proposal below! Looking forward to March! Hopefully I'll update it a bit more than what I have been doing.
